I am a freelance teacher of English, living in Budapest, Hungary. I have been teaching for 12 years and have been holding online courses for 2 years.
I started working as a self-employed English (EFL) teacher in 2004. I gained a lot of experience in one-to-one teaching as well as working with small groups of children aged 3-11. Between 2009 and February 2015 I taught English and Nature and Science in English at a state school in Budapest. The main profile of the school is the bilingual feature, focusing on content-based teaching. We put emphasis on multicultural education.
I graduated from Apor Vilmos Catholic Teacher Training College (with a BA degree) as a Lower Primary Teacher with the faculty of English in 2004. During my studies I spent a fascinating and useful term at DCU St Patrick's College in Dublin, Ireland as an Erasmus student. I took part in teacher training seminars and lectures as well as a 2-week teaching practice at Corpus Christi National School. Later, in 2007 I completed a postgraduate MA course at Karoli Gaspar University (Pre-degree certificate). I have always been open to innovative, new ways of teaching and other fields of professional development. I have participated and accomplished various courses, conferences and workshops over the last few years as well.
I tend to use and combine old and new techniques, materials and technology in teaching.
I speak a little German also.
